Members,
Our office is experiencing an unusual amount of denials dealing with short term disability.
I would like to encourage any of you that are scheduling surgeries or happen to go on an unexpected short term disability ( anything beyond 7 days) that you contact our office before you have pay issues.
While we don't need to know your personal information, we do need to know immediately if you have a problem, especially if pay is involved. We need to know ASAP so that we can intervene before it is too late and several pay dates pass and you receive nothing.
Unfortunately, the benefit process is rather lengthy and then when we get into an appeal it is yet even longer.
